See Live Project For NBA Africa's annual celebration of Africa Day in 2021, the objective was clear: to create a distinctive branding campaign that not only honored the African Union but also fostered greater awareness and celebration across the continent. To achieve this, our team embarked on a mission to encapsulate the diverse spirit of Africa within a cohesive visual identity. Understanding the significance of Africa's unity and diversity, we aimed to craft a brand solution that would resonate with audiences from all 56 African countries.
In response to the project brief, we developed a unique approach by creating a pattern from elements of all 56 African country flags, symbolizing unity. The color palette was inspired by primary colors in these flags, enhancing the campaign's connection to the continent. Additionally, a custom typeface was crafted, drawing from dynamic African sign painting, to further elevate the brand's authenticity and vibrancy.
